Thank you for all who attended the International Day of Peace Celebration in J4R yesterday. We had spent some time the previous day discussing what peace means to us and that conversation went really wide and deep.
Some of the things the students were saying: “Use your mouth, not your hands”, “peace means helping everyone around us”, ” peace means stopping all the other nonsense”. One of the students even raised the question about how to keep peace, why are we using weapons for keeping peace?
After our discussion we were thinking what makes us feel peaceful. Each student wrote their thoughts on little cards and then yesterday we shared all those beautiful thoughts. Thank you also for parents who contributed their thoughts!
We have created a peace board of all the Junior 4 students’ thoughts on peace. It can be found on the corridor accross from our windows on the way to Ms Whitehouse’s class. Please, whenever you have time, take a look at what makes us feel peaceful!
